Olivia thought it was pretty cool to be the subject of her Aunt Karen and Uncle Nicholas's blog post last month as the birthday girl, so here we are chiming in a few days late, but we are thinking of our nephew, Nicholas, this week as he is celebrating his 11th birthday. This seems impossible!! Seems like just a few years ago he was that tiny little guy with the whispy, light blonde hair sticking up from his head! We are grateful that the Lord created you, Nicholas. We are so proud of the young man you have become. We enjoy reading about your great accomplishments in school and in sports. When we're together, you're always so sweet and patient and loving with Benjamin as he tries to tag along with you. He mentions you quite often as he passes your picture on our frig. each day. So we included a picture that shows how sweetly you played with him last August when we were at Jekyll with y'all for that day. We trust that the Lord has great plans for your life, Nicholas! Uncle Stan and I want to "speak" this blessing over your life: "Nicholas, may God out of His Glorious riches, strengthen you with His power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith. Amen!" We're praying especially for you, Caroline and your mom and dad as y'all prepare for this move to Charleston. We're praying that the Lord is going ahead of each of you and preparing the way for this time of change. We're praying for great new friends, schools, teachers, a wonderful new church family, the perfect new home for your family, and a loving community to surround you and welcome you all warmly. We love you and celebrate your life!
