Dear Friends and Family,
It has been an exciting Holy Week! We had parties, egg hunts, our adult choir Tenebrae service, lots of daily services at the church, a sunrise service and a full morning of worship on Easter morning. Here are a few pictures from all of the activities and services. The Lord has graciously carried us through this hectic time and we pray we've honored and delighted Him in all of our efforts. Easter morning had some bumps in the road (having to leave the house with all of us at 5:30 to set up the sound for the sunrise service only to discover that someone else had already brought sound equipment and had it set up when we got there, dealing with some high school musicians who weren't as reverent as we expected them to be during the worship services, etc). But we praise His Holy Name! He was so good to us this week. The tenebrae service on Friday night was very moving, and we really felt like the Lord blessed our voices and the instrumentalists who accompanied us (what a great little orchestra!), and somehow He made it all so much better than we even hoped it could be. To God be the Glory!! We pray you all had sweet days of remembrance and worship in this last week.
And now--onto our last few weeks of preparations for our children's musical which takes place May 11th. Stan's spring band concerts are next week, and school is out for summer beginning May 19th! We're on that wonderful and wild slippery slope to the end. Hugs to you all!

Benjamin's 4th Birthday Weekend Fun
Benjamin is four years old! Hard to believe! This little guy is wonderfully creative, endlessly energetic, rough and tumble aggressive, addictingly cuddle-icious, never forgets anything, has ears like sonars, talks all the time--especially when he's getting super-duper tired (and then it gets faster and more furious!), can assume any personality--loves dress-up, challenges us quite regularly--is still trying to decide if he really wants to learn to listen and obey but we're beginning to feel like he might be yielding (hallelujah!), is a passionate singer and air guitar player, enjoys being the boss, and he brings us great joy and tons of laughter. He just asked the Lord into his heart to be his Savior two days ago, and right after he prayed the prayer to accept Jesus, he threw his head back and said, "Kowabunga Dude! I asked Jesus into my heart!!" (in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fashion). Love this little rascal, and we rejoice that he has asked Jesus into his life, and now, as my sister Abby said, we pray for him as he begins this life-long journey of yielding more and more to his Savior. Love you, Benjamin!

Garden Progress April 12,2011
Things are coming along well so far in the garden! We've been grateful for some great rains we've had in the last couple of weeks. I forgot to take pictures of my pepper plants, but I have about 12 of those little guys that are trying to come along fairly well. I hope they produce! I wasn't quite so careful in my planting this year, and you can tell! The corn, particularly is a bit willy-nilly and wild, but I'm just going to let it be what it is and hope for the best. I am hoping to get out there and weed this morning, because as you can see in several of the pictures, the weeds are also coming along nicely! :/ :)

Texas Trip Spring Break 2011
I wish I had more time to write about everything that we loved about our fun trip to visit the Miller family over our spring break!! It was just so marvelous!
-great visit with Uncle Will (we stayed with him both on the way out there and on our way home)
-we toured Texas stadium (sorry I didn't take my camera that day, but it was ENORMOUS!)
-we went to Fort Worth Zoo--it was freezing that day--upper 40s, but it was still a really neat zoo to visit, and we went to Panera afterwards for coffee and goodies!
-Stan enjoyed helping lead the Arlington Corp after school band activities for three days
-Abby took us to a really cool park near their home
-we shopped a couple of times (the metroplex area has tons of amazing shopping!!)
-we went to Six Flags over Texas on Friday night--exhausting but fun
-we went to the Rain Forest Cafe on Saturday night--a bit overstimulating but always an adventure
-eating, playing, talking with the Miller family--a delight
-seeing Abby and Andy serving the Lord with gladness in their wonderful Corp in Arlington--we're so proud of them and grateful for the Kingdom work they're so committed to there!
-singing a duet with Abby Sunday morning was a really special moment
-hearing Andy's awesome sermon Sunday was a true treat--let's all be a chuckwagon--drawing people to the food of LIFE that Christ offers us all!
As I said, there's so much more I could tell about, but I just don't have time to write it all! It was a precious time that we will chrerish memories from for a very long time. So very grateful that the Lord helped work it all out so we could go.
Here's the link to my Texas photo album. I had troubles getting the slideshow to load properly, so go and see yourself! I give up! I already spent too much time trying to get the slideshow created properly, and then when I looked at it, it only had like 5 photos in it! Ach! Who knows what happened, but I don't have time to figure it out, so here's the link to the album:
